Mayor Dan Guzzi told the News-Herald that Food Town was closing (which was not really a secret), but that a Save-A-Lot would be coming to the Fort Street location. This would certainly be good news for the locals who need groceries, but the Kroger on Gibraltar Road might not be happy about it.
Unfortunately, Save-A-Lot is apparently not ready to make any announcements, because they were not available for comment on the story.
