A fire claimed the life of a 67-year old woman in Brownstown recently. Although the fire department arrived within minutes of being called, it was too late to save her.
This tragedy could have possibly been avoided if there was smoke detectors in the house. There were not. Hopefully this will inspire you to check your own smoke detectors today and make sure they work.
