Reit Schumak is an amazing woman. She and her husband have bought a house in one of the worst neighborhoods in Detroit, Brightmoor, and turned it into a farm using adjacent lots. It's not clear from the inspiring video whether she actually bought the abandoned adjacent lots or not, but they provide space for neighborhood children to grow crops and the kids get to keep the profits.
Like we said, amazing.
