The number of homes selling for more than (cue Dr. Evil voice) one million dollars shot up in 2013 in the metro Detroit area. Tri-county, there were 210 such sales, a new record.
Bad news for those looking to score a discount on their next mansion, but good news for the local economy. These homes are being bought by executives moving into the state or moving up the ladder.
