I do not like painting, and that is partly because I am never happy with the job I do when I do paint. I am getting better, however. I don't overload the brush as much as I used to. I have fewer drips. I recognize the value of prepping and priming before putting on the main color.
Of the tips here, I especially like the one about keeping some extra paint in a labeled glass jar for when you need to do touchups.
Overall, painting is one of the best things you can do. It freshens up a look, adds value, and does not cost much.
